Practice Manager

Allyson started in the kennel almost six years ago. After marrying her off to our then-technician Mike, we kept moving her up through the ranks, first to technician, then inventory manager, and now, as she has recently completed her MBA, to Practice Manager. She and Mike have a little girl, Elizabeth, so between family and school I don't know how she does it, but she has improved our operations tremendously in the time she has been the boss. --Dr. Bartos

I am Allyson and I have been the Practice Manager here for almost 2 years.  I started here 7.5 years ago right out of college and was absolutely overjoyed that I got the job!  I graduated from UCF in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.  I met my husband Mike here at work, the technician with the curly hair, in 2012 and we now have 2 children together.  We have a little girl, Elizabeth (4) and a little boy, Lucas (5 months).  In between having kids, I also received my Masters in Business Administration and graduated in December 2015.    I look forward to meeting every one of you and your furry family members to make sure you have a wonderful experience here with us at HVC!

Owner/Executive Director

I have extensive past work experience in public service in outdoor recreation, (Florida Park Ranger/Park Law Enforcement, Marina Manager and U.S.C.G licensed Inshore Charter Captain). I helped Dr. Bartos build Halifax Veterinary Center in 1990 and started as Practice Manager in 1991. Over the past seventeen years I have received intensive training in Veterinary Management and Administration and will soon receive my certification as a corporate trainer from Wise International. Dr. Bartos and I have been married for 40 years and have a 31 year old son and a 21 year old daughter. Outside interests include inshore fishing, (my daughter says it is more of an obsession), boating and kayaking.

Assistant Practice Manager

My name is Kathy and I am presently the assistant practice manager. My husband, son and our dog Chance moved from Valparaiso, Indiana to Port Orange in 1997. Our Chance quickly became a client at HVC and I was fortunate to begin my career in 2002 as a receptionist at Halifax Vet Center. Our son now lives in Boston and Chance is in Doggy Heaven and we have a new addition, our shorkie Isaac. As a graduate of WVU, born and raised in Pittsburgh, I love Steeler and Mountaineer football. Having had a career in teaching and in the dental field, I now enjoy working with a great team and all the pets and owners who come to Halifax Veterinary Center.
